China Educational Television is the only national-level professional television station in China, it is the top ten media for key communication capacity-building supported by the Central Government during the "12th Five-year Plan" period. It currently has 5 television channels, China Education Network TV and China Education Satellite Broadband Transmission Platform. CETV1 makes efforts to build the most authoritative and the most professional national comprehensive education satellite television channel. In 2016, simultaneous playback of high-definition and standard definition programming is realized. CETV1 is the only national satellite channel enjoying the same policies and supports with CCTV-1, covering all provinces and cities, with totally more than 900 million people; CETV2 based on the campus strives to find breakthroughs and innovations in the field of campus sports and campus culture. CETV3 as a terrestrial channel in Beijing focuses on education in Beijing, providing services for Beijing students, parents and teachers.
